When I arrived at the bridesmaid's home where everyone was getting ready I was met with a frenzy girl voices and high spirits, mingled with the smell of hairspray and the laughter of children. I began photographing the ladies as Amanda fixed their hair, and periodically glanced out the window at the adorable family of kittens that lounged on the patio. Jordan soon joined us, wearing an old work shirt of Mack's with his name embroidered above the right pocket. She light-heartedly played with her soon-to-be niece and nephew, awaiting her turn to have her hair done. The day proceeded to unfold more quickly than anticipated, as does every wedding day, and before we knew it we were loading up for the trip to the lake. Jordan and her family put in some DIY time with the decorations, and I think their hard work paid off! The wedding had a very charming, rustic feel to it - from the trees that envelope you down the path to the lodge, to the warmth of the wood in the lodge itself, to the beautiful shades of purple in the floral arrangements (which even accented the cake!) - everything was lovely! The decor was made even more special by personal touches, such as the wooden frames made for her bridal portraits by her uncle, and the custom mugs with Mack and Jordan's names and their wedding date. Everything had just the right mix of rustic wedding beauty and the casual playfulness that is the Jordan-Mack dynamic. I hope you enjoy my favorites from this Lake Fannin wedding and reception - congratulations Jordan & Mack!
